This blog was created to be a safe place for those who have, unfortunately, experience sexual assault and abuse. This blog was inspired by (Wo)men Speak Out, but is in no way intended to steal the spotlight from them. That is a wonderful orginization, who is making a huge difference in the world. This is simply another effort to make survivors of sexual assault feel safe when speaking out against their abuse.

The more I think about your answer to that survivor “I think the reason you’re having this is because it’s all you’re used to” The more angry I get, I know you are only trying to help people but what you said is really harmful and wrong.

As we have said, We arent Professionals. We still try to help though. Everyone deals differently with these situations. We dont mean to upset anyone, If anything we say upsets that person we are really sorry! The survivor was asking for help and We answered it with our opinion. We didnt at all intend to offend or upset anyone. We are really sorry if we did. We have experienced abuse ourselves and we are just relating our experiences and the feelings we have about it to His/hers, Hoping it may help. We know what it feels like as survivors of child abuse <3 Thank you for your opinion. I hope your well.x
